Communal Satellite - Available In Your Block Now!

Here at STC we provide satellite TV for both domestic situations as well as communal ones. In blocks where you have one or more people interested in satellite television we can offer to supply a shared satellite distribution system absolutely free of charge to allow all residents to view Sky Digital.

So how does this work? The dish/dishes and distribution equipment will supply a satellite signal into the property, the resident wanting the new channels will then need to obtain their own satellite receiver (currently available free as part of the Sky Digital offer). We will endeavour to win this business but whether successful or not each connected resident must pay us a monthly line rental fee for the use of our dish.

We charge £5.00 per month for each feed, this fee is usually collected directly from each resident quarterly in advance and normally by standing order. The line rental payment eventually covers the cost of our equipment and also contributes to the general maintenance of the system. We will also charge each tenant that chooses to connect a one off installation fee from £129.00 (subject to free site survey).

Once the system has been installed it is a simple process to add new residents to it. At each location we install a system that is capable of feeding every flat regardless of initial resident takeup.

Primarily our service provides reception from the Sky Digital satellite. We are also able to supply residents with reception from other satellites of interest i.e. Eutelsat 13 east (Hotbird) which shows a wide variety of foreign languages.
